He’ll try to take Democracy down with him. The white house is working feverishly to come up with a cure. (No, not for the deadly virus, for the American way of life.)
It should be interesting to see how many get thrown under the bus as he gets more and more desperate. The Orange Buffoon banners I’ve seen recently which sport the moronic statement, “No More Bulls**t” show that you can fool some idiots all of the time.
Please, people, in response to the coronavirus crisis this weekend, which saw over 1000 deaths Saturday and Sunday, President Trump…golfed with former NFL legend Brett Favre.
Biden should be looking around, saying “Where am I?”
I can only imagine how grating it is for Trump worshippers to watch Biden sleepwalk his way into the presidency. Talk about the cherry on top! I bask in their angst.
If Trump loses (I won’t yet let myself say “When”), the lame-duck months from the election until the inauguration could be pretty weird and dangerous. He’s unbalanced now, and he seems to get more unbalanced when he feels threatened. If he pulls the Republican Party down with him, well, they deserve it. Maybe when the dust settles the true conservatives who have left the party will be able to reconstitute another conservative party, perhaps with a new name. Trump has spent nearly four years weakening the structures that used to maintain some semblance of constitutional government. If he loses, he could try to bring down the whole building, just out of spite. He will also try to protect himself somehow from prosecution for his various crimes. Can he pardon himself? Not in state court, I guess. Cleaning up this mess will take years. Meanwhile, of course, there’s the job of dealing with the pandemic, putting the economy back in order, and acting on climate change.
Who will he try to take down with him? Well, when Hitler finally realized he had lost the war, he tried to take the entire country down with him. He wanted to do a scorched earth policy which would destroy EVERYTHING in the path of the advancing Allied armies. Of course, such a think would have made Germany unlivable for Germans after the war. But Hitler could not care less about the people – they had let him down by losing the war. And that is what worries me about Trump – he could try to take the whole country down with him.

Donald the Duffer – {3 beats/line}
The Donald’s ineptly a duffer; -
- he can’t get it up to the green.
And when losing, The Donald plays rougher,
splashing All when he vents his spleen.
So everyone Else has to suffer
when his temper’s vindictive and mean.

If there is an election. Trump may declare a ’National Emergency", and cancel it. We could be tied up in court for four more years.

It’s “whom he can take down . . .”; but it’s not something he would know or has EVER known.

Trump is an [expletive noun] – {limerick-like rhythms}
The Donald is quite the shape-shifter; -
- he’s sometimes a shifty grifter,
and then Mussolini
{but with bats in his beanie},
and then a ridiculous clown,
and then an [expletive noun].

Trump already has plans in place, in case he needs to “fix” the election results… probably the only plan he has for anything…

Much About Which to Fret – {3 beats/line}
Trumpites haven’t succeeded,
at least not fully, not yet.
But our nation they’ve bigly impeded;
they’ve given us much to regret.
To our nation’s demise they’ve proceeded,
so there’s much about which we’ve to fret.
