We will be led by our “War-Time” President to victory. Just you wait.

At least Uncle Sam isn’t asking you to join up for the military while Russia is paying a bounty on your head.

Or you can be like a anti science Republican and keep the country shut down.

The USA has lost a year due to Republican incompetence.

That’s the (supposed) American Way. It sure isn’t the Angry Old White Guy Party’s way.

Good grief! Not again with the war analogies!

It’s this kind of framing that’s encouraging dimwits to resume normal activity. The Asshole-in-Chief tells them everything’s OK and we need to reopen businesses, and they believe him because both he and they want to think this is an enemy they’ve defeated.

SARS-CoV-2 isn’t something we can defeat; we have to learn to live with it, which means taking reasonable, effective precautions. It’s like saying we’re in a war against highway fatalities, and a pack of knuckleheads imagine the enemy has been defeated because they’ve personally never been in a car collision. So it’s OK for them to stop wearing seatbelts.

We as a nation used to understand the need to pull together in a time of crisis. That’s certainly not the current mode which appears to have started with the “me generation” and been exacerbated by the example of the obscenely rich, not to mention the folks who are desperately (and hopelessly) fighting off the “browning of the US”… and three generations of targeted advertisements trying to make us believe that “wanting” is the same as “needing” is the same as a right.

Japan has the lowest infection rate. They closed schools, but didn’t close many businesses.

    They wore MASKS!

Sad how being asked to do a simple and inexpensive thing that can help slow a pandemic is met with so many tantrums that some people think it’s a war on their “rights”…

Those who advocate not wearing a mask in enclosed public places or public places where social distancing is not probable are mass murderers.

Leave out the “v” in “White Lives Matter” and see how many people notice.
