We are. We ordered a fresh fish dinner “kit” for two meals for two from a relatively nearby restaurant on the coast. Picked it up at a well organized distribution point on Friday. Last night we had a Brazilian stew that was awesome. Tonight’s entree was cajun-spice rockfish tacos with mango pico de gallo. Good, but not as good, imo.
For me, this has been best of two epicurean worlds: I get to stay home to eat which is calm and pleasant and I get to eat excellent quality restaurant food. ❤️
Computer sales are up and years of lackluster sales and accessories like high-quality microphones are also popular. My next computer is going to be an Arm — rather than Intel — based notebook with built-in 5G transceiver that will accept multiple sims.
Guy up the street described the new ‘lawn chair config’. All the neighbors used to gather their lawn chairs side-by-side in one driveway and chat for hours. Now, with the 6’ separation, the circle runs about 60’ in diameter. Lots of yelling and im’ing going on, but with enough beer nobody cares.
I noticed something curious lately. On PBS News Hour, all the at-home reporters and interviewees are always in front of their overflowing bookshelves. On all our local news broadcasts, their homes all look like Target interior decor.
Before I go out with mask and “use right hand only” personal admonitions to get groceries or such, I do have to remind myself that even if the actual cases in my county are tenfold greater than counted, that there is still better than a 99% chance I won’t meet someone with the virus. Being careful makes sense, being hysterical doesn’t.
Stay in and share limericks: “In this time of the virus corona, remember the song “My Sharona”, sing it loud; sing it long. Sing it proud; sing it strong. And people will leave you alona.”
