There are guy shows and there are girl shows. My wife’s favorite girl movie would have to be Beaches. My favorite ‘not really a guy movie but not exactly a girl movie either’ would have to be Brian’s Song.
I would start watching a show like the instigator and husband would make fun of it. About a year to 6 months before it ends he would decide that he likes it and be upset that it ended, buy the complete set on DVDs and they would sit on the overfull DVD chest that he made with all the other still unopened movies. I am getting rid of our barware and our good glasses in a secretary desk in our living room as it is never used so he can store more of his unwatched DVDs in it.

That’s basically my wife whenever I introduce her to a show or movie that I liked before I met her. Granted it’s dorky stuff like MST3K.
