Taught my youngest grandson to upstage oldsters by waving his hand in a broad sweep and saying, “This all used to be trees.” We also do the “Good Byes” like Laurel and Hardy in “The Perfect Day”. He’s is also an honorary Son of the Desert. At soccer matches, during warm ups, he will pass the ball to me. At near 80, it hurts to pass it back but I never complain…..

We all had the fear of “nuclear winter” drilled into us in the 50’ and early 60’s but so far the fingers have been able to stay off “the button”!
