This is irrelevant to today’s comic, but I HAVE to talk about this dream with other P&HU fans.
Last night, I had a dream about the final P&HU strip. In the comic, Phoebe accidentally had her eyeball knocked out, and Marigold not only helped put it back in, but she enchanted the eyeball, giving Phoebe magical sight powers so she could see who they truly were inside. (For instance, she was able to tell a student was secretly transgender just by looking at them.)
Tone it down. Marigold! This is what it’s like when the power goes out during the night and someone leaves all the light switches turned on……When the power comes back on hours later, “AAhhhhh, my eyes!!”
I guess Uniq Orn magic must be binary. Either it’s on all the way or off all the way. Otherwise we would watch it coming back more gradually across the 2nd frame.
