It gives a whole new meaning to being a fan of LSU (Look Stuff Ups/Uppers).

In short, Marigold is lazy.

I’ve got to admit, sometimes Marigold is a little hard to like because she thinks she’s so special.

Ordinarily Marigold hits the Goldilocks sweet spot of always being loveable despite thinking far too much of herself. (A unicorn thing, of course, except for Lord Splendid Humility.) In fact, that’s probably the thing I admire most about Dana Simpson, the talent to keep hitting that sweet spot. But today, with Marigold admitting she complains “loudly”, just doesn’t seem to be in character. (Phoebe would complain loudly, Dakota would hire a town crier and two orchestras to complain loudly FOR her!) I don’t know, maybe I’m in a bad mood. Never mind.

She doesn’t think she’s special. She KNOWS she’s special.
