Well, I always thought this was only in cartoons, but a few years ago I got thrown by my horse and hit the ground so hard both my shoes came off. Only broke a rib, and he was very sorry, but I had to find and put on both shoes before getting back on
This must be toon physics. All his clothes got torn off, and are somehow still in one piece. After that, as by design, his boots landed on his bare feet. Roger Rabbit will undoubtedly know more.
