What possible harm could be caused by an uncooperative, uncompromising, mutually-exclusive opposing party system that turns a constitutional democratic republic into a dysfunctional mechanism?
Well, it’s true that Adolf Trump and the Senate still have their hands on the keys of power, but are you suggesting that a national government totally controlled by Republicans would be better?
If you are instead pointing out that we are still in a dire situation, I can’t disagree. Which means to me that the only option I see is to keep fighting against the fascists, wherever they may be found.
By 1936 Hitler had put “gridlock” far behind him. But not just the date is wrong, comparing the Weimar Republic to the US (I assume that is what this is supposed to be) shows a lack of understanding of history and politics. First and obvious, the WR had too many small parties in the Reichstag and the US no place for a third party.

Two years of not much done in Washington D.C. is fine with me. Unfortunately, DOD will charge on.

I would like to keep Medicare and Social Security, so I don’t mind. Vote Mitch out.

The first step for House Democrats is to change the way Congress works.

Yes to that, but they only have to control the Senate to totally screw up our judiciary.
