I guess humping a powerless, archaic Monarchy is just merely Illusional!

Delusions make reality bearable.

I read a book called Fantasyland by Kurt Andersen. Its whole premise is just how Americans delude themselves.

Every word true. Don’t forget they were gun owners who thought guns would remain the same forever and be held only by other rich men, to boot.

I recognize WJB; who’s the other guy?

This is like believing a liar that news is “fake”

And despite all of that the US became and remains the nation with the most, the strongest and the most widely varied personal liberties in the world.

And despite all that, elected a known con-artist who routinely promised to negate, legislate, and deteriorate the most fundamental of those civil liberties out of existence as he campaigned for the highest office in the land. For being such a liar, he is doing his damndest to keep those promises.

Gotta say, somehow I see the TV character Frazier here! the advice just reads so well in that voice!
