Oh, please. You think this is a genuine move forward? You think Trump will actually do something WORTH doing, that will protect America? Nonsense. It’s just about distraction and ego. And NK knows it.
As much as I agree with Ted’s depiction of Hillary, I’m left wondering what he’s actually trying to say here. Trump is every bit a chicken-hawk as Hillary so long as he stands to make a profit from it. Frankly, the only reason I can see Trump going through with the peace talks with North Korea is to stoke his own ego.
1 day ago – WASHINGTON — The United States military has carried out twice as many airstrikes against Islamic State militants in Libya since President Trump took … And it pales in comparison to airstrikes against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, where the American-led coalition has bombed on a near-daily basis.
Ted has a point that Hillary Clinton is a conniving politician who made a regrettable series of decisions to support military action. But she’s hardly unique in that. America is not a peace loving nation, really. We are quite militaristic and seem to enjoy war. Which is odd. But war is odd. Imagine a species like ours that actively designs and produces weapons to kill hundreds of millions of its own kind. It’s quite sick, but Hillary is not at all unique in her militarism. And Ted, you know this is true.
More importantly, Ted’s fixation on her foibles draws an unfair comparison to what we have with trump and the republicans. Does Ted really think she is as bad as trump? Does he really think her avarice is worse than his? Does he really think she would have been more militaristic than the regressives?
Seriously, Ted. You have a cockeyed view of this. It’s accurate, in a way, but completely wrong in context. I guess you’ve drunk the regressive Kool Aide that’s been dumped on her for decades. This really does the country a disservice.
Ted, do not let the perfect be the enemy of the good. Ain’t nobody perfect. Hillary Clinton would have made a fine president. But so would Joe Biden. Heck, John Kasich would be far superior to what we have now. These are centrist politicians, Ted, with all the human baggage that comes with being a human politician. You may not like her, heck, few do. But I respect her, and know she would have been far, far superior to trump.
Now the regressives would have given her no quarter, but that’s who they are. And that’s the power of sexism, propaganda, and amorality—the regressives have swallowed huge gobs of never-ending poison about the Clintons for literally decades. It’s no wonder they are confused and anxious.
But the real question is why Ted is so focused on Hillary in the first place. Doesn’t that seem just a bit out of place? Irrelevant, even. I guess he has been brainwashed like so many millions of Americans. Sad.
While the Hillary2020 sign is indeed scary, I think a different person needs to be in that chair. The point is that U.S. foreign policy is a cornucopia of destruction, no matter who’s in the president’s chair. Sadaam Hussein was an ally of the U.S., until he wasn’t. Same for others.
Hillary is emblematic of the neoconservative politicians who rule in the U.S., but she’s also emblematic of so much else. Alas, no one else is so immediately recognizable.
I’m still wondering who is the madman in this toon.
BTW, Hillary’s comments re the idea of Trump talking to Kim Jon-Un were, as usual, very restrained.

Ted is more fixated on Hillary than the Uranium One Republican liars.
By the way, we have continued bombing Libya, they just aren’t putting it on TV.
Under Trump, U.S. Launched 8 Airstrikes Against ISIS in Libya.

You know, Ted, she’s getting up there. One of these days she’ll die, and then what will you do for ideas?

Not to worry, if Trump visits N. Korea and becomes a hostage, Kim will let him go pretty quickly as he’ll realize just how wacky Trump is!

What would Kim Jong Un want that would be worth getting a bayonet stuck up his butt?
