You had to pass the bill to find it wasn’t a pro-abortion, job killing death panel bill. The Republicans are trying to sneak a bill through that no one was even allowed to see. Typical – I’m sure they think this is an equivalent situation.

There were about 1,000 amendments to ACA before it was passed. Get the story straight.

The public is sure to love the republican’s draconian health care bill and they will show their appreciation in 2018.

Under Obamacare, there was hearing after hearing throughout the process. It was not a few people in a back room somewhere unlike trumpcare.

The Dems’ phrase, with context restored, meant that once the bill (whose text was available to all) was passed, the GOP’s lies about it would be seen for what they were.

The real problem here is that the Republicans have spent 6 years objecting to and trying to destroy the Affordable Care Act; all while knowing they were safe from such a disastrous act by virtue of having a Democratic president. They could shamelessly pander to their voter base while being totally immune to the outcry such an outcome would have on their continued reelections. Now, reality dawns! It is now “Repeal AND REPLACE”, not merely “Repeal” – too many of their constituents rely on the A.C.A. to just dissolve the act, and yet the G.O.P. desperately needs the money being spent on Healthcare to fund the tax breaks to their Donor Class! What to do? What to do??? Well, the House decided to pass “Survival of the Fittest” Ryan’s health care plan, and do it so quickly that the majority of the Representatives didn’t even SEE the bill let alone READ IT! It passed, barely, long before the evaluation came showing that tens of millions of Americans would lose coverage and Medicaid would be ‘gutted’ like a deer being ‘dressed’! It was sent to the Senate so the Representatives could point to the Senate as to where the problem was caused. the Senate, so far, has played the McConnell Game of loudly criticizing the Dems for not “cooperating” while not allowing the Dems ANY voice in the matter! So, even as we ‘speak’ 13 white, male Repubs are meeting in secret behind closed doors to decide how one sixth of our economic future as a country will be handled with absolutely no input from anyone else and they hope to be finished and have it voted on and PASSED before the July recess where they’ll have to face their voters. In the words of Donnie, “Trust me, you’ll love it!” And, if you believe that…

Obamacare: 100 public hearings, 25 days of floor debate. Trumpcare: Just lies about a plan we can’t even see

Well, trump did say it was “mean”. Not that he knows what’s in it. But for once, the stopped clock was probably right. Juvenile, but right.
