Trump is not the first American president to start his administration with a desire to have better relations with Putin. Back in 2009 Obama had Hillary present a reset button to the Russians, an absurd gesture indicating his intent to start a new relationship, free of the cold war tensions of the Bush era. Obama was disappointed by Putin’s subsequent behavior; most likely Trump will be too.
Putin doesn’t want to fight an outfront war against the U.S. and Europe. He wants the fruits of war, and he’s going about it with skill. Obama and now Trump are handing it to him in bushel baskets. Putin is content to ratchet out his influence in small increments that bridge administrations, as does his power plan. Winston Churchill warned about this in his “Iron Curtain” speech, in 1946. Yes, so long ago … but Past History is not just a pretty wrapping for the Present, one that can be wadded up and discarded. The Russians had an empire and they want it back, with interest.
For our con “friends”, there is a difference between having a good relationship with Russia and having a KGB apparatchik running our president. Not that they’ll ever understand that until there’s another Democratic President.
Like other presidents before him, Trump will get bitten by his “friendship” with Putin’s Russia. They are enjoying making us look foolish, and you thought Obama made us look bad. Trump is a petulant child, he will end up getting his poor widdle feeling hurt soon enough. Then all the Russian-apologists here will wake up the next day and hate Russia again. Even after everything they have given you (Trump!)

I’m a little behind on this one. Has the Obama Administration finally released a shred of evidence to back up their claims yet?

Actually I think Trump will applaud anything that Putin chooses to do.
