The CEO made something like nineteen million dollars last year. I guess it wasn’t enough. She said it is the free market at work. I guess killing a few kids doesn’t bother her.

Practice of a huckster driven government? No price change, just a “saving card” to temporarily lower it. Maybe someday a nation will have government of the people, by the people, for the people?“The company said it is reducing the patient cost of EpiPen through the use of a savings card, which will cover up to $300 for their EpiPen 2-Pak.For patients previously paying the full amount of the company’s list price, this effectively reduces their out-of-pocket cost exposure by half, Mylan said.”http://fortune.com/2016/08/25/mylan-epipen-rebate-clinton-price/

Ted LindWhat "free market? One side is prohibited by law for doing anything about what is done with a system they paid for developing, while the other side gets anything they want, no matter how many deaths result. Let’s do like civilized countries do: prosecute or expropriate.

Jack: it was Manchen from West Virginia, just proving equal opportunity,

BUT, a long time ago I was prescribed as “sleep aid” that is highly advertised with fluttering butterflies, my COPAY was $6 per pill. Counting research, development, marketing, packaging, and delivery, the drug company was out $0.03 per pill. About that excess profit in big pharma that has long been absurd. BTW; the cheapest drugs out there are the habit forming NARCOTICS with high dependence potential with lots of potentially deadly side effects. They just push a lot more of them to make up the difference.

^BTW; on the sleep aid, switched to listening to a biofeedback “music” tape for 40 minutes every night at bedtime, and haven’t had to take a pill for sleep in seven years!!

Welcome to the new method of controlling drug prices:

Occasional bad publicity for a particularly egregious example.

==Yeah, this is beyond the pale, especially when paired with the compensation jump.

But what’s the point of piling on the CEO, or even the company? It’s just the natural result of the system that Congress enacted and maintains.

You want a different result? Or just bitch about what will keep happening over and over?

I hereby take back any and all times that I have said that no Democrat was ever crooked. How wrong I was. .I don’t remember saying it, and I can’t find any examples of my saying that, but I must have, because our wise conservative friends here are trying so hard to rebut it. .I hereby give you your precious time back, so you can use it saving lives and building a better tomorrow.

^Hippogriff: knew that, minor in Entomology, but in this era, avoiding getting too close and being sued by big pharma, or merely keeping it simple for folks that wouldn’t know what a Luna is.

Also the FDA has switched on Lyrica for fibromyalgia, which I’ve had for 50 years, to being for diabetic nerve pain. Always seeing to it that big pharma keeps the profit train on the tracks, even if they have to switch tracks.(and continue patent rights for a “new” application in the formulary)

Good grief people. Ask anyone you know that uses an EpiPen if they have ever paid anything more than their regular copay for it. then go lookup the retail price of any non-generic medications you are taking. I promise you, You will be shocked.
