By his expression, I would say Elvis is sleeping with his eyes open…again.

1. Surely the duties of a bookshop cat include keeping the mice out rather than letting them sleep in the books.

2. Lupin will wonder why his nose aches when he wakes up.

3. Rainy days are good for sleeping. It’s raining here at the moment, and She Who Graciously Lets Us Share Her House is asleep on the chair she sometimes lets me sit on.

4. Can you still get a novel for 10 cents in America?

And, I thought a book was a book. I didn’t know they had personalities. How interesting.

I keep falling asleep with my Kindle.

The Owl and the Pussy Cat book in panel 5! And it’s the Owl and Baba Mouse on the cover! :D Love it! I love the robber mouse asleep under the page of a book in panel 7 and in the last panel, Elvis has fallen asleep with his eyes open. The way Georgia connects past stories in such a creative way never fails to impress me.

I love how Elvis is so excited to see Beatrix and forgets to be a hard-nosed journalist

Again I’m smitten by this comic. As mentioned, Elvis’ happiness to see Beatrix, and his novel way of sleeping with eyes open… to how cute Beatrix is in her clothing choice. Love the cats on their book choices too. Well done!

I guess Lupin dreams of traveling the world some day.

I would really like to see Beatrix, Trevor and the bookstore owner as part of the ‘Meet Our Reporters’ cast.

Wonder what books Puck likes to sleep on.

My Yum Yum likes to sleep on the newspaper, but only if my hubby is reading it.

Jingle Bell doesn’t SLEEP on books, but she has been SITTING atop a stack of Rita Mae Brown books I got from the library! Maybe she senses that each of these books feature a CAT among the characters. Or maybe, library books just have interesting smells…
