I really want someone entirely off his rocker, Perry or Cruz would be good. Best yet, Santorum. He’s sufficiently deluded that he’s bound to appeal to the right wing, which is what they need to really embarrass themselves in a national contest.
Can’t we hold off on all this BS for another year or so? Soon we will be watching propaganda commercials over and over again. I am still tired from the last time.
The Republicans started campaignng for the White House in November 2008, stepped it up in January 2009, and STILL can’t find a sane candidate. The Democrats in 2014 ran away from their own leader’s accomplishments because the “media moguls” declared Americans "Can’t handle the truth!’, and they made a movie line their reality.
American politics may be at, or very near, nadir. (No, folks, I’m not talking about that Ralph guy!)
An interesting article. Thanks. I’m of the opinion that we need a completely different kind of economic analysis, one which takes the environment into account in a really serious way. Growth just for the sake of growth and production just for the sake of production are not necessarily good.
But, since they made us go through it, excruciatingly, we need to make them go through it, exactly as much. Fair is fair.As for Money Booboo, now he’ll release six years of tax returns, who could want more?
“We’d be in better shape if Romney had won.”Because you say so. At least with a President Romney, he could have passed the same health insurance reform package as what you call “Obamacare” and you’d praise it rather than denounce it.
“This is really the best you’ve got on Romney? Move on over, Hilary. Move on over, Elizabeth.”I can see Romney and Hillary going neck and neck all the way up until election day with one of the two barely getting a majority. Hillary is little more than a warmed over Republican circa 1980 as it is. However I don’t see Romney standing much of a chance again Elizabeth Warren. She’s one of the few politicians I’ve seen in a while with the balls to stand up against the corporate interests that have been driving the country into the ground for the past 30+ years. Unfortunately, the quality that makes me want to vote for her is the very reason Democrats are not likely to choose her as their candidate. The Dems may be more liberal than Republicans, but they still kau tau to their corporate masters.
Cute article, more love letter to Democrats than an explanation of economic recovery which is quite simple..Gas prices are lower. It affects EVERYTHING from the working class disposable income to the cost of getting goods and services to the consumer. Simple logic..The article while boasting about new jobs, ignores the workforce participation rate which is still as bad as when President Obama took office. (which actually means it’s gotten better since most of his terms it was steadily getting worse)..It does point out the growing disparity between the rich and the poor, saying it should have helped the Democrats, oddly enough this “growth in disparity” has occurred WHILE the Democrats are in charge, so why on God’s green earth would the electorate give them more power? If someone is kicking me in my manly bits, I am not going to go out and buy them steel toe boots..The article ignores the cooling effect that the ACA has had on the economy. It is simple logic that the 800lb gorilla of new regulation and mandates would take time AND MONEY for companies to make sure they are compliant.

Last time round he came across as a rich greedhead picking over the carcass of American capitalism. Has anything changed?
