ThePosterboy, I see NO similarities, personally, between Zits and Calvin. Calvin was an evil genius, whereas the kid in Zits seems to be the average basic comic strip teenager, even a little on the dopey side. (Of course, if Calvin is Albert Einstein, Lio is a cross between Isaac Newton and Harpo Marx…….)
reminds me of one of my old goldfish, hera the terror - would actually kill other goldfish and cracked a fish tank trying to get at some guppies in the next aquarium - she finally went to someone who raised oscar fish

GEE1G, I was having fun with a friend of mine, seeing if she could guess who I was. I’m on a roll with it now. The man was a comic genius.

What a talented fishie! Just right for Lio’s collection!
margueritem, I, too, remember Ernie and Edie and all that wonderful nonsense I so enjoyed watching way back when….

I’m sure there are more pets in that store for Lio.

Not to continue hijacking today’s discussion, but I remember Ernie’s show too. It’s still at or near the top of my all time favorites.
Wait, I can sort of tie this in…It’s probably not a coincidence that people who enjoyed that show are here (and other similar places).

Johnathan Winters? The piranha in the fish tank? The guy losing his finger? Okay, the kid makes me feel old in more ways than one.

Am I the first one to put out there that I believe that ZITS is the older Calvin & Hobbes?
gillbillvolume1 about 14 years ago
I have a fish that can do that !
It was such a nice day last Thursday that I put his leash on and took him for a drag

Seriously, where can I find this pet store? I could use a couple unusual pets to get rid of my usual pets. Hehehehehe.
