I can confirm the first one…standing at her bedside while the chemo drips into her veins “i’m in love and I’m leaving you so you’ll have to battle this cancer on your own. good luck”.
Oh that’s my favorite scenario….a really nasty stroke that leaves him unable to talk, unable to take care of himself, forcing him to rely on others for feeding, washing, and bathing, and of course, changing his diaper. If only karma was that good to us…
They use simple math. 50,000 people voted for X, 75,000 people voted for Y. There are 20,000 mail in ballots. There is no way X can win.
Now, if there are 25,000 mail in ballots, they count until they have enough votes for Y (within a reasonable margin of error), to call the election, then they are done.
Again math. and all the ballots are all locked up and saved “just in case” they need to be recounted.
Why not volunteer to be a poll worker and get an up-close-and-personal view of the process?
And how is that different from the “social engineering” done by US owned companies like facebook (meta) and twitter (X) ??
Don’t misinterpret what I’m saying. I don’t like that a foreign entity has so much power to “sway” eyeballs in the US…but the metric needs to be applied fairly across the board. Just because it’s a US Based & Controlled company, does not mean that it’s can’t-won’t do the same thing.
I think we could make an entire series: Brokeback Beach – Miami, Brokeback Beach – The Hamptons, Brokeback Beach – Hilton Head, Brokeback Beach – French Riviera, …

dunno about #2…
