    Did you guys miss that? That was a play on the word “kitty”, as it also means a pool or reserve of money. As well as the very obvious cat connotation.

    If I recall the story line, they are playing softball. The ball is being lobbed into the plate if you are getting beaned in the head, you have very slow reflexes or you are dead.

    Actually “jumping the shark” is an idiom. It is meant to describe a particular moment in the lifespan of a show where it starts to decline in popularity. And it no longer just refers to TV shows, it has become more mainstream than that.
