Caulfield says, "What are you giving up for lent?" Mrs. Olsen says, "I'm not Catholic." Caulfield says, "That didn't keep you out of the Fat-Tuesday paczki." Caulfield says, "Guess what I'm in detention for!" Frazz says, "I give up."
Paczki are filled doughnuts. Paczki were created to use up a household’s supplies of things that the family wouldn’t be able to eat during Lenten fasting. This included lard, sugar, eggs, and more.
