NRA Headquarters GUNZ! Spokesman: Look, we're really interested in having a national conversation on guns. Spokesman: We just feel it would be... INAPPROPRIATE the week of a memorial for shooting victims. Reporter: There's, like, one every week now. Spokesman: Think of it as a really long moment of silence.

¿I don’t understand your comment. What does Buzz Lightyear have to do with this ’toon?

I’ve heard that claim (they want our guns) all my life. What I haven’t seen is any actions to go with the claim. After all these years, I’m tired of waiting. So all you clowns who fear the government, put up or shut up…or better yet, MOVE!

Shortly after the Wisconsin shooting, a local politician went door to door handing out leaflets and what not. One of the top bullet points (no pun intended) was his position that all gun laws should be repealed and that all citizens should be able to buy guns without restriction or exception. The picture he chose for the leaflet made him look Bachmann crazy.

NRA just opened a branch office at the Empire State Building.

Appears many of the wounded were from the police. I wonder how many more wounded and dead there would have been if any of those “right to carry” nuts were in the area?

“Personally the comment or discussion of gun control is just a ruse to unarm the public.”-And thus ends another enlightened non-debate.

Never forget—IF ONLY everyone in that theater in Colorado had weapons on their person, then the casualties would have been much less…….see, cuz multiple people opening fire in a crowded and dark movie theater would have ended so WELL.

Would it have turned out better if a lot of civilians had been shooting back as well?

The mass shooters should have a sign-up sheet so they can keep their schedules straight without overlapping.

Yes, we passed all those laws and time and again they were water down and people found a way around them. Just like they have done with our dope laws. Some people have also found a way around our murder and child molestation laws. So your solution is…?

It only works on a PC: hold down the ALT key while typing 168, then let go. It’s part of the ASCII codes for computers.

“If I said until the end of time would you then understand radicals comment? …”Yes, since that statement is from Pixar’s first animated movie (and therefore is subject to copyright laws). Thanks for explaining that to me… even if I don’t understand that last sentence.

Okay, I’m willing to agree that stricter gun laws won’t eliminate these incidents. So what other proposals do you have that would cut down on gun violence? (We can deal with the enormous problem of baseball bat massacres later.)

The NY case was another example of what I call the “Churchill effect”. Winston said that nothing was as exciting as having someone shoot at you, and miss. The first time, it IS kinda’ exciting, and your aim is screwed up as a result. After a while, when it’s “commonplace”, your reactions, and aim, improve.
Nine bystanders were hit in New York. Give a dozen “amateurs” guns, to do what the TRAINED POLICE found difficult, and the death toll will go UP, not down, period!

walruscarver: xin loi,
but you’re also aware that most bullets in combat actually MISS! LIkewise in street shootouts, but bullets do have to go “somewhere” once fired. Being the backstop for strays IS a bummer, especially on our streets here at home.

Those few who want to play with really big guns should go back into the military. Law abiding citizens don’t need assault guns!

Yes Walrus, me too, flew way too many out, among “other things”. Maybe, just maybe, it’s why our views are different than the “wannabes”, or “never there, and didn’t wanna’ be”??
