Teen aged Rip has fought off pirates and his attraction to a certain dark-haired vixen! Dutch: The authorities will take care of the pirates, kid. Rip: What's going to happen to the girl, Dutch? Dutch: Not sure, kid! Though with her crazy family, I'd say she's bound to grow up to be a drop-dead gorgeous, double-crossing thief! Rip: Did you hear about how I totally saved the day all on my own? Dutch: You acted like a fool, and nearly got yourself blown up and that girl killed. Rip: Oh c'mon, dad! Cobra: Can you erase that last memory? He'll whine over it for weeks. McLuvyah; What is up with his father fixation?

Would a spin off strip of a young Rip Haywire be jumping the shark?Or how about young Haywire Sr. set back in the 1930’s. Think of the cameos!!!OK, enough shark jumping for one morning.

Yeah, we always want to please our parents on one level or another; it’s just how people are made, I guess! Anyway, I loved this arc, and I’m also agreeing with the folks who’d love to see another R.J. adventure! Have a great weekend, fellow Haywire Hooligans! :-)
