The president has little to no control over the price of gasoline. A couple weeks ago, when confronted about the spike in gas prices, rightfully stated it was due to the speculators.True, but I’d bet that if gas had being going down, he would have responded it was proof that his policies were working!
No single household in the USA could run the way the government runs. NORMAL people know that there’s a LIMIT to the budget, that borrowing is NOT the answer. We reach that limit, we either tighten our belts, or go bankrupt. The government does not seem to realize that it WILL run out of “other people’s money”… Driving us into bankruptcy will help no one.
It would help if we greatly decreased our bloated government agencies and departments. Cut them in half, both in manpower and budget. Remove duplicated departments. Seek out and eliminate bloated unnecessary spending.
Last, but not least…rein in government spending. Make them pass a budget and stick to it!
This is most definitely NOT a do-nothing president. The wars and size and scope of government have ballooned since Bush. This is Bush on steroids. I wish they were do nothing-and congress were paid nothing.
