@Aaron – not likely, A&J are at a real beach while Fritzi is given fits in her neighborhood.

She should be in a two piece. Or better yet, nothing at all. But since this is a family strip, I’ll settle for the two piece.

I read this strip as a kid, and I don’t remember Aunt Fritzie being hot.

The unfunny gag in this strip was probably an afterthought to the art.

She’s got curves in places where a lot of women don’t even have places. If she was much slimmer she’d tend toward Twiggy (remember her?). Most guys didn’t think Twiggy was “hot”. Fritzi looks fit, which is related to “hot”. (Explanation for Susan).

I love how Fritzi’s hair is blowing in her daydream – she’s really good at imagining herself on a tropical island… too bad she’s going to have to drop back into reality and make lunch soon…
