Man: Sir, the economy is still in shambles. People are desperate. What's the plan? President Barack Obama: The G.O.P. is putting up Romney, Gingrich, and Bachmann. I'm not worried. Man: RIGHT. That gets us to 2012. But after that, what's the plan? President Barack Obama: Retire, give speeches, write a memoir. The usual. Why, what's up?

Hardest working man in America is a do-nothing president—right! No, Obama thought he would get a few (maybe just a couple) Republicans to work with him for the good of the country, but BOY WAS HE WRONG! Remember, when the conservatives all got together and said “We’re going to sit on our thumbs, approve nothing, and filibuster anything others try to pass”? Can you remember less than two years back and see that’s exactly what they did? Remember how health care reform was going to be his “Waterloo”? Can you remember less than two years back, and see how Republican opposition turned that bill into an insurance give-away? No, that’s right, matt, you vote Republican. You have no memory. Or conscience.

Unfortunately, the progressives have their own purity tests. Personally, I can’t wait for O’s 2nd term.

Unfortunately, Republicans can always count on your Joe Schmoe Uninformed Voter. Memory like a goldfish and religion-bred fear to boot!

Most of the people I know don’t vote at all.But I know a few religious zealots who vote Republican and one crusty Navy vet who has Obama stickers on his truck, including the first “Obama in 2012” sticker that I have seen.

You folks don’t seem to get it. If Obama had any leadership skills, he could GET a couple of Repubs on his side. He’s the president. It holds power for those who know how to use the bully pulpit. Chicago one-sided politics simply didn’t prepare him for this level of opposition. We elected an charismatic amateur, and we got one.
