I’d swear that sometimes Wilson recycles an old picture and just (slightly) alters the caption. He’s been short on original ideas for some time now.That might explain the ‘big’ contest.
They use anything for parts. You mean you never stopped every half mile to pour gas in a cat food can when your fuel pump in your 23 year old Plymoth went out on the way home from 16 nights of the Dead? We would have made it home too if not for those 14 guardrails and 3 police cars. My Mom refused to post bail.
The old cars lasted forever and you fixed them yourself. I had a 55 Ford that lasted a long time till a young guy bought it and wrecked it. It was 20 yrs old and still running fine.
@ Radish..the problem with a lot of type 1 and type 2 VW engines is that they leaked oil if you didn’t maintain the gaskets..These day’s if you find a dead bug on the side of the road….it’s usually on fire..
The Wilsons have themes: alien/UFO contact, car repair, love search, bank problems, pet interaction. The pictures are going to look the same at times. Concentrate on the punchlines.
Might you say the same for your Dr.? waitress? mail man? airline attendant? customer service rep?a stranger? -
Am quite aware of the artists ‘plight’. Syndication is not a prison term. There’s fantastic creativity out there that would be grateful for such a grueling fate. There’s ‘cutting slack’,…. and then, there are slackers. Ziggy is worthy of fresh effort. Don’t you think?I know , I know. everybody’s a critic!

I’d love to have one of those golden old classic cars you can work on yourself. Parts are still around for most.
