It’s always scary to think your luggage didn’t make the trip with you.

My cousin, her husband, 3 1/2 yr old and twin 19 month old boys got to the states last Thursday morning. The airlines paid for the hotel as their luggage was still in Paris until Friday afternoon. At least they had the diaper bags for the boys.

I was delayed once for six hours on a flight from Atlanta to Boston. My bags somehow got there 3 hours before I did. I never could figure out how.

Hey Monkeyhead… the only time that our bags have been lost (and we travel a lot) have been going through Paris. When we reported them missing in Atlanta, they said that many bags are delayed when going through Paris. We did get them a couple days later though, if that helps.

On one of the talk shows they talk about flying and lose lauage. On the news will show at the airports baggage handlers will steal people possions and pocket them. Expensive items like laptops. The workers did get caught and dealt with. Wher I work at a worker flew home out of the country and back with all their baggage with them. I read other comments about sweetpotatoes how to improve alone with what I wrote sounded great. Sad part though for the orange I would like to try that but I have a mom who is allergic to oranges cancer sores in mouth. I hope SS gives us a treat of their Thanksgiving, even though mom/grandma won’t be there but on her way to Thialand. Evie enjoy your flight.

My friend went to China for study abroad–they lost her bags for a week….She pretty much had to BURN the clothes she flew there in.

Chiang Mai is quite a good place to visit, judging from the posts my friend sent when she spent a number of weeks there. Lots to see and the food is good. You can be adventurous or not, as you please, the omnipresent McD’s and Starb. are there too. But it sounds as if you can have a lot more fun checking out the local food and sites/sights. Evie strikes me as the sort who would visit the night bazaar and the tiny factories making umbrellas, crafts, textiles, etc. by hand

Passenger: I’m flying to Los Angeles but I want my bags to go to Montreal.
Airline rep: I’m sorry sir, we can’t do that.
Passenger: You did it the last time I flew to Los Angeles!

Purses must be getting bigger…Now they have drawers in them .. Amazing

Yes, but I know a better version of that joke - the passenger says, “I want one suitcase to go to Montreal and the other to go to Buenos Aires.”
but isn’t it a great joke? strangely, many travellers do not find it so funny!

bathing suit in carry-on. then you are prepared. you can swim in it or us as extra underwear. The one time I didn’t we couldn’t make the connection, our luggage did, and airline gave us the overnight kit. I chose men’s. (shirt bigger/longer) So, I could have a nightgown/shirt.
