Gil Thorp is Rex Morgan, M.D. through the eyes of a gym teacher. My hometown paper, the Omaha World-Herald, ran it, just a few strips above shudder Dondi, which ran across from “Rex”. “Love Is” ran on the TV page along with “Dennis the Menace”. Do people still vote for this strip, or is it in the middle “blah” zone, garnering no negative or positive votes?

I thought for a second that a spontaneous game of dodge-ball had broken out, without any warning to poor Lio.

OUCH! That happened to me in fifth grade. I fell and cut my knee open on a rough cement step. I remember the blood running down my leg.

They’ll be talking about this at The Bucket after the game.

“Gil Thorp”?! Is that worthless strip still around? It makes “Gasoline Alley” seem downright exciting in comparison.
