ONLY IF YOU PAY FOR A SERVICE LIKE LINE-BACKER! Without the service insurance like coverage and the costs are overwhelmingly expensive, plus they allways try to say the falt is in your line not thers so to charge you and they can do a line test via their switch board just to see where the problem is. I learned the hard way to pay fro the service protection of LINE BACKER as my old uninsulated house the wires coroded once a yr and neaded a box replacement, once i moved the box to a diferent wall i never had the problem there but the outside box started acting up.
you can do your own line check at the outside box. After opening the box just plug a phone into one of the empty jacks and see if it works. If so, the problem is in the house. It not. the problem is the outside line that the phone company will fix for free.
