My last Western I saw as a child. I couldn’t quite understand all of the plot, but I noticed that the good ones always had light hats, the bad ones had dark ones. Exceptions apply, e. g. Adam from “Bonanza”.
You don’t need notes. Revolvers shooting 20 times, horses changing color, massive attacks with the same four extras changing clothes and positions… forget it. Just enjoy the movie. Everybody praises the “science” of Interstellar or the “high-quality CGI” of the Irishman. I rather have a good old-style Western :D
I tried watching an old movie that I liked when I was a kid. I was so disappointed with all of the misleading outdated attitude the guy had toward women. He gave his android ‘twin’ a playboy magazine to teach him about women. So much for the memories.
my hubby watches military movies and points out all the wrong things. I knew nurses that did the same thing watching medical shows. And I tend to point out dumb stuff from scenes with dogs.

The westerns many of us old timers grew up with were basically morality plays. Taught us some good, decent values. We need more of that today.

I just enjoy the movie overlooking inconsistencies and outdated stereotypical behavior.
