I wonder how many race shirts(or medals)Frazz has. Miss Plainwell, I recall, has a shirt from the Flying Pig Marathon too, which she wore under her blazer before donating blood in a Sunday Strip.

I’m no runner, but I honor that custom by not wearing advertising clothing because I didn’t make it. (I DO wear funny G-rated tee shirts though.)

I have a shirt from the Dakar races. Got it from my motorcycle mechanic who assisted a team there. I love that shirt!

I have a hoodie that says I am an AMerican veteran, and my oath of office has no expiration date. Those are pretty exclusive, too.

I wear t-shirts for concerts I haven’t attended; is that taboo, too..?

He may have gotten the jersey after the Lion’s 2008 season fire sale!

I have a jacket for the Detroit Marathon that I was given for being a bridge monitor. People always ask me how many marathons I’ve run. I have to explain I just keep the runners from running to Ecorse instead of Canada. But it is a really nice jacket.

Kid, you’re gonna see a lot of that kind of thing on your way up. The kinds of decoration people wear often has no relation to their jobs or their personalities. That you have to dig out on your own. So be careful.

Miss Plainwell nailed it. Take on a goal, work at it, make it, get the tee.

When travelling in Europe, I’m amazed at the number of people wearing clothing that says “New York City”, but who have never even been to the United States… in come cases, not even out of their own country.

I do love Frazz when Ms Plainwell is featured. Well, I always do love the Frazz comics. Just wish Jef would bring back Ms Treviño

I had a great Air Force pilot’s jacket given to me by a client. It had the unit markings, and rank. I couldn’t wear it – just couldn’t. I think I gave it away.

I love the scene in Happy Gilmore with the gold jacket. “I believe that’s Mister Gilmores!”

Ha! Thank God for licensing fees, or they´d never let us on the team.

I have a very nice long-sleeved tech fabric shirt from an ultra marathon in support of doctors in Haiti. I wear it a lot in the winter because who doesn’t want others to know they have finished an ultra? And people are always coming up to shake my hand and thank me for being a doctor. And I have to explain, no, no, I’m not a saintly doctor who travels to third-world countries to volunteer or indeed any type of doctor, I just spent 24 hours straight running through the woods. And they say something like “Well that’s a thing too!” Yes. Yes it was. Ugh.

Could George Plimpton touch his toes? He played for the Lions and Colts. . . .

I considered running a marathon once… but I couldn’t find a mean guy willing to chase me that far.
