Take a look at how the US’s “War on (whatever)” always turns out: Expensive, ineffective (maybe even counter-effective) and eventually fades away. War is NOT a good way to think about pulling together to address a bad situation.
Europe is in a bad way, many of the same problems we have. Since Angela Merkel started letting refugees in to Germany and the open EU allowed them to enter Europe, Europe has been on a downward spiral. Slow wage increase, unemployment, terrorist attacks, Charlie Hebdo, the 2015–16 New Year’s Eve sexual assaults in Germany that was done by Middle Eastern men. Both the North Rhine-Westphalia and the Police Chief of the City of Cologne stated that it wasn’t organized. Does anyone believe that.
Terrorism in Europe fell to like 10 incidents in 2020 but is ticking back up.
At some point someone may need to say the obvious out loud: we are now at a point of too many people and too few resources, globally, due to population growth and climate change. Throw in war and here we are.
