This is unfortunately too true. The CEO at a company I worked for left because of his poor performance. He walked away with a $10 million package and later a $10 million dollar discrepancy was found. He stayed on the board as well as the boards for other corporations and banks. People like that always “fail upwards” and never suffer the consequences of their actions.
Since I don’t know if anyone checked out the other panel, I’ll just mention here that the departing CEO is CJ’s uncle. She was hired while he was in charge, and when he left she didn’t want to talk much about him.
