You know what would be a good DMZ, Ted, if y’all did a TRUTHFUL piece on previous elections that had this little enticement, not a hit piece, a TRUTHFUL piece…………….ask Scott to do some research before recording.
My mind is made up. Not watching or listening to the rhetoric anymore. I have a life to live. Just waiting for November. I am voting for democracy and a woman’s right to choose.
Idk, I think all elections are important & often the local ones are just as important as the Big One every four years. Voting seems easier than bloody revolution.
I don’t blame people who get sick of the yearlong (and, getting longer) horse race coverage, though. Read the stuff that’s about policy, not poll numbers & not just for the guy you like or hate.
Republicans want to force every pregnant woman to carry it through to the end even if her doctor says it will kill her or even if she was raped. Republicans fascists think they know better than doctors and their Supreme Court favors rapists like adjudicated rapist Trump over victims.
Republicans want to marginalize or eradicate gay people and they want to remove contraceptives. Republican politicians are determined to interfere in everyone’s sex lives.
Democrats are pretty stuck with Biden. Only one president elected to office and seeking re-election failed to get his party’s re-nomination—Franklin Pierce. He’s the list. When Democrats nominated Biden in 2020, they were nominating him for 2024 as well.
But Republicans? They’ve had every opportunity to get off the Trump Train. Polling may indicate a dissatisfaction for Trump as the nominee (for a third time), but he’s a lock for the nomination. There is no excuse for that, except to say they really want him.
There is a possibility that this country elects as its president a convicted felon out on bail.
The cure is simple, hold one single national primary the Sunday before Labor Day to get the two prominent candidates and have a short campaign for the national election day on the regularly scheduled Election Day with no early voting and no mail-in ballots.

Kind of clever, imo. Though I think (as Rall usually does it) it’s overblown. Oh well, Cartoon, right?

It’s March. 7 months to election is political junkie season. Normal people will “feel it” around August.

Okay Ted, it’s time. Will you continue to prop up Trump or work to save our American Republic?
