HB—-“These kids are going to war!” over a dunk ???? I’m thinking we need something more like the melee at end of USC-LSU women’s basketball game to qualify as “war”.

RW —-Dr. J or MJ in their prime could not dunk straight at basket and hang in the air long enough to do a 180 and hang(illegally) on the rim. Then again, why would they ?

At least we don’t have the usual Saturday “cliffhanger”. Still waiting to se if Gilpa did the nasty with Beth from last Saturday.

Far as I can tell, this is the first Milford boys basketball playoff game since a first-round loss to the Hamilton HS Big Blue, 82-81, way back in 2013. (The “playdowns” stopped being a thing in the mid-2000s, apparently.)

So both teams agreed before the game, “Nobody plays defense, so nobody gets hurt!”

Prediction: Final score Milford 147…VT 146 thanks to a Hail Mary TD at the end.

P-4: An official TO, so his Daddy can get a ladder and help him down.

Game decided by the first foul call for hanging on the rim with 3 seconds left. (Even though Rod did it 20 times earlier in the game). He can dunk now.

Wait, ignoring the fact that it’s impossible to have a 9-minute mark in HS ball, that would mean there was still 9 minutes left IN THE HALF. At this rate, both teams will break 80 points by halftime. Have we ever seen a 157-154 high school game?

In P2, that’s not a sound, that is Gilbot-9000 yelling out helpful instructions to the player who’s about to dunk. Something the real Gil would probably do. And speaking of doing, what you should be doing is heading over to Mopped Up Thorp.
