Lent delayed a day.

Awwww, so lovely! It’s really a strange Valentine’s Day when it falls on Ash Wednesday isn’t it? At least, I think it must be for those that observe Lent.

Today will be a different kind of Valentine’s day for my wife and me. We have COVID. I told her that we now have an excuse to stay in bed all day and that I hope she’ll like present I got her. A box of tissues!

Is it merely coincidence that Valentine’s Day’s initials are V.D.?

Which makes me wonder… why isn’t Christmas a lunar calendar date?

We did Valentine’s at a great Italian restaurant and flowers and candy when we got home. Our denomination does not do Ash Wednesday so Valentine’s Day continues today!

This is the only strip I’ve seen that mentions Ash Wednesday on the same day as Valentine’s Day.

Arlo really is a romantic guy………

I notice Arlo made sure he had it down pat….Choclates, Roses, a Card, and some Champaign….turn down the lights, put the cat out.

I gave up religion for Lent… and it stuck!

I love Arlo – he’s such a great example of a faithful and devoted husband.

And once again all is well thanks to our hero Arlo.
