I think Gus is going to show A&J some relocation possibilities.

I was worried about Luddie and that balcony, but it looks like a better option is nigh.

As the world turns these are the days of our lives.

I’m enjoying the different characters. Those who struggle, for the love of the job, are the norm. The ones like me that struggle to build wealth (get over the hump, build a retirement fund, have enough money after paying bills) are usually not happy people. Then there are those, who build something, hard work pays off, and they can enjoy family, and rest.

I’m old enough to remember when comic strips were funny.

I understand restaurants can be excellent money-laundering operations. Because a lot of folks still pay in cash, the bank doesn’t ask where did all the cash come from. Plus, some days are going to be better than others.

For the record, Sambora1 foresaw something like this two days ago.

Just not sure where all this is going, but it is keeping my on pins and needles.

This is one long, boring arc setting up what is sure to be an anticlimactic ending

Various blonde women keep popping up in this strip. Who are they all? What kind of “relationship” does an 80 year old man have with a 20 year old woman? I’ve been following this strip for a month. When do I discover who’s who?

As I said earlier… Everyone needs a little “Ole” Gus in their life!

It’s funny. The people with lots of money, that I have known, not a large number though since I don’t run with that crowd a lot. They don’t talk about it and really don’t show it. If you show an interest in what they do they will help you.

I think Gus is going to offer Arlo a deal on the condo.

The disconcerting thing is that Mary Lou and then her husband chose a defunct line of work to make a living—because they loved it. Eventually I suspect they will be bailed out by the old man. That’s the salvation of the younger generation. Of course, there are those who don’t have a rich old man on their side and heaven knows what’s going to happen to them.

I am loving Gus’s backstory.

So Gus is rich. I wondered how he could afford to let his ocean front condo sit empty. Mary Lou (and Gene) must know about his wealth, but doesn’t seem to care much about it.

Is This the beginning of the end of The Arlo and Janis strip? Seems to be pointing that way.

I’m surprised that Mary Lou didn’t start working for Gus until she was 20. I always assumed that she was working for him since her early teens.

What was Gene’s (Eugene’s?) Major in college? Business Admin?
