When I lived in Japan in 1960, many Japanese were already wearing face masks.

The “Believe it or Not” shocker is that the guy’s average electric bill is only $74! My electric bill is WAY more than that. My bill comes with a graph showing how my energy use compares with similar sized homes. The graph shows “average homes”, “efficient homes” and “my home”. My usage is half that of “efficient homes” and one-fourth that of “average homes”.

Strange, I don’t see any drawings of Japanese people in this cartoon. Wait, there are three badly drawn head things at the top. maybe some yellow ink would make them standout as Japanese. Very poorly drawn this morning.

For a moment there, I thought the Japanese had started writing smiley faces on their face masks.

With solar panels and house batteries, our average electrical bill is less than $25.00 per month in a 3,000 sq ft house in British Columbia. Believe it.

The so-called artist must really hate Japanese people, to draw such ridiculous stereotypes – even buck teeth, like WWII propaganda! How offensive.

And no, the people in the photo this was taken from definitely did NOT look like that; you can find it in Sky News, if you want to see for yourself.

Ironically, I found myself smiling more with my mask on. Maybe I felt less self-conscious about it.

Thing is, if you smile behind a mask it still shows up around your eyes.
