No Trump Disciple EVER mentions record profits by the patriotic multinational oil corporations.

    Never.

    .

And everyone knows market concentration has no effect on prices in any industry, especially oil.

Sure Henry, Joe is doing his best to drive up the price of gas so he’ll be more popular. Or you could delve into the actual causes of increases/decreases of gas. But we all know that won’t happen.

Saudi Arabia will reduce how much oil it sends to the global economy, taking a unilateral step to prop up the sagging price of crude after two previous cuts to supply by major producing countries in the OPEC+ alliance failed to push oil higher.

The Saudi cut of 1 million barrels per day, to start in July, comes as the other OPEC+ producers agreed in a meeting in Vienna to extend earlier production cuts through next year.

Calling the reduction a “lollipop,” Saudi Energy Minister Abdulaziz bin Salman said at a news conference that “we wanted to ice the cake.” He said the cut could be extended and that the group “will do whatever is necessary to bring stability to this market.”

Insurrectionist Trump’s friends the Saudis are rising gas prices to stall Biden govt.

A tax-and-rebate program, with taxation at the source of geological carbon, and equal rebates to all legal residents, would eliminate the undue punishment of the poor, and place the extra cost on those who USE more than average. Yet, for some unfathomable reason (/s), politicians reject that approach.

Joe could always drain the rest of our reserves, but he’ll probably wait until next election season.

Payne going with the flavor of the day for distracting from the criminality of Trump. High gas prices are all Biden’s fault, even though he has nothing at all to do with it!

Let me repeat, oil is traded on the world market. If Saudi Arabia cuts oil production, the price increases across the globe. Saudi Arabia hasn’t increased production since your messiah trump begged them to cut production. The USA is producing the same amount of oil in 2023 as was being produced in 2019. Consumption has also stayed the same.

Biden does have absolute and dictatorial power over oil and gas pricing. So he is 100% to blame. (eyes rolling)

Biden has done things he can actually be criticized about…legitimately. Why are commentators making things up like this?

I saw a report that Aramco (Saudi-owned) had a profit of 30 billion last quarter. That’s a quarter, not a year.

Yeah, gas prices were SO much lower three years ago, when COVID-19 had shut down the country and thousands were dying every week. Repuglicans consider those the “good old days” (those who survived them, anyway).

Adjusted for inflation, gas prices are what they were more than a decade ago. Additionally, demand is way up this summer, which drives up prices.

I love Exxon mobile! Their stock pays a nice dividend. Think about it. USA uses 370 MILLION GALLONS of gasoline EACH DAY! The Federal tax is about 18 cents per gallon. My state tax is about 45 cents per gallon. Governments need that money! Keep driving. Buy BIG trucks. Accelerate as fast as you can. Drive fast and often. Idle to run your air conditioning. And, if you have a diesel truck, do that “rolling coal” thing at any EVs you see.

    Thank you!

I repeat: I am still waiting for someone, ANYONE, to factually describe how Biden, and Biden alone, caused all GLOBAL energy prices, including COAL (!), to spike coming out of the pandemic lockdown, during the ongoing war in Ukraine, with OPEC cutting production, and major oil companies reporting their greatest profits in history, quarter after quarter. Biden did this all by himself? Very powerful man.

Why is gas more expensive than when Trump was President? We know why. Why you defending this guy. What he did in ‘21 was a travesty. You don’t put all your eggs in one basket folks. We do not want to be like Europe.

“If you can’t afford the gas then buy an electric car” is the modern version of “let them eat cake”.

It is sad how mentally and morally disconnected the Democrats are.

I’m so glad that the President of the USA has so much authority for gas prices OVER THE WHOLE WORLD. The only. places lower than the US are the oil producing countries..
