In my day, school didn’t start until September.

One county near mine starts next Monday.

People used to farm. Kids used to work. Now they don’t even bother to study. But Brutus gets the smile of the day award. Don’t tell Brutus he’ll be working anyway.

What if they wanna do what you do instead and go to work for money? I remember having arguments with my brother when we played Atari.

Our school starts the 28th, I’m going to miss them at the gym. Now it will be all old people!

There’s a funny ad playing on Dutch tv, for Albert Hein. The kids ask what they’re gonna do all summer. The parents take them to every kind of summer activity you can think of, even free-falling in the chamber with the big fan. Finally one kid says to his sister, “In a couple of days we get to go back to school!”

You better wipe that smile off your face before Wilberforce sees you.

Brutus is ready for Wilberforce and friends to go back to school and cease monopolizing the tv in order to play video games.

boy, that would certainly ruin my mood whenever they told me that.

That’s the light at the end of the tunnel for Gladass, but Brutus is at work when the kids are in school. He doesn’t get “home time” without them.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year…..

My grands start a week from tomorrow

Does Brutus get Monday’s off or is he just taking a sick day on Monday?

Gladys knows how to cheer Brutus up .

Count your blessings Brutus. As annoying as they are on weekends, my guess is they aren’t as bad as His Rancidness is 5 days a week. At least.

And that brought a smile to ole Brutus……atta boy!

Too bad there isn’t a light at the end of the tunnel for Brutus and Veeblefester.

But that tunnel is so far away.

School may help Gladys with the kids, but I am sure Brutus’ work schedule pretty much corresponds to the school schedule so there will be little relief there. Of course there is always homework.

Most happiest time of the year for parents….

we’ll be driving somewhere and when i see kids walking down the street i shake my fist and shout, why aren’t you in school?! my wife just sighs… ☺
