Having not seen what was apparently the original joke of this (lots are saying it’s reused), I don’t find it so bad, but it IS very stock. Last week’s sunday was also about Nate misunderstanding a test, except that one was at least kinda creative and funny, and this one isn’t really. It’s just okay, but that’s about it.
One time I was 41 minutes old. One time I was four minutes old. What difference would it make if he went back to a question he didn’t know the answer to later? He’s still not gonna know it because it’s a test.
Honestly, for you folks to follow Big Nate to find repeated jokes and what not, you must really love the strip! It’s like following the Grateful Dead or Phish!!
College freshman are fodder for graduates in Psychology. One test I took, I skipped all of the questions the guy wanted answered and answered the ones he had as filler.

….instead of the usual “CRIPES”, Mr. Galvin should counter with “Should I mention that you’re flirting with less than zero?”

Peirce is just bagging up new ideas. A+ Overall: 100/100. (Why should I even type that?)
