Is this something the Mayor actually said or something right wing non-news sources claim she said? Is not the National Review, an Alt-Right website, the actual source of this supposed quote? Has anyone else besides tabloid and entertainment sites quoted what the Mayor said beyond ’I’m a Black Woman in America’?
“Obviously, we didn’t win the election. But I stand here with my head held high and my heart full of thanks,” Lightfoot told supporters shortly before 9 p.m.
Bok’s prejudice is showing in this cartoon in that there have been many one-term mayors, both Democrats and Republicans, in cities and towns of all sizes throughout the USA. Bok simply jumped on the first Black female mayor of a major city with a racist caricature.
What can we surmise from Bok’s comic? Lightfoot never made that claim, nor even hinted at it, and conceded the election the same night, before all the votes were counted. She demonstrates honor with a peaceful and lawful transfer of power, and respect for the voters of Chicago. conservatives don’t seem to like that much.
Well, I have seen this everywhere yesterday, "Democratic Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot blamed racism and her gender for her landslide defeat in her re-election bid, as Chicagoans weary of the rising crime on her watch celebrated her fall from “political rock star to rock bottom.”
At least she conceded and accepted she lost. She’s not claiming the election was fraudulent or stolen, she just blaming others and not her own performance for voters for not voting for her. Making lame excuses for why one lost is better than still claiming one won an election two years later.
From what I understand and from watching a video series hosted by someone who is from Chicago, many Chicagoans are glad that Lightfoot didn’t get reelected. She wasn’t for them at all!

Actually, it’s only losers like Lake and her idol the mango moron that make that claim; I haven’t heard even one Dem say it.

Seems trump started a worldwide movement about denying election results if you don’t win.

“Obviously, we didn’t win the election. But I stand here with my head held high and my heart full of thanks.” – Lori Lightfoot
Sorry, Chip, there’s no equivalence. Democrats aren’t the ones who would rather tear the country apart than just admit they lost an election.
