Isn’t it strange how the FBI never seems to spend nearly as much time and energy investigating non-criminals as they do investigating criminals?

Heheh, good one, Gary. Note that under Article II of the Constitution, President Trump had unlimited authority to declassify the documents he had removed and he did so. Biden as VP had no such authority.

The problem Trump has is that he refused to give the documents back. He ignored supoenas demanding the documents. The archives went to a judge and got a legal right to search Mar-a-Lago to finally get the documents. If he had just handed them over, there would not have been a problem.

The documents President Biden had were at his office in the Penn Biden Center in Washington, D.C. They have been in a locked closet in President Biden’s office since 2018; obviously forgotten about. The National Archives were not missing them; nobody was searching for them. However, when they were found by President Biden’s Lawyer, they were turned in to the National Archives within 24 hours and reported to Attorney General Merrick Garland. The AG has reportedly asked U.S. Attorney John Lausch Jr., a trump appointee, to head the preliminary investigation.

    vs.

Trump took thousands of documents to his home in Mar-a-Lago. Eventually, he gave 15 boxes of materials back to NARA. But federal investigators later came to correctly suspect that he was still holding onto dozens of additional classified files. The DOJ prosecutors secured a grand jury subpoena and later got a judge’s permission to search Mar-a-Lago, to find the documents. Hundreds more documents, many with the highest security classification, were found strewn about trump’s room, unprotected.

Democrats are not perfect. They make mistakes. However, they are vastly superior to the current crop of Republicans, and they are infinitely superior to the walking trash that is trump and the magas.

The documents found were self-reported. The so-called “liberal” media was the first to report it. The “totally biased” National Archives is investigating it. The “corrupt” DoJ is too.Other than scoring points and “owning” the left, what is the purpose of this latest round of Biden Derangement Syndrome? Does the “this is the same as Trump” crowd think the same when someone stays at the scene of an accident vs. someone who flees the scene?

“What’s the difference in what President Trump did versus what we now know President Biden did?”

‘Around 10 documents vs. well over 100, turned over voluntarily as soon as they were discovered vs. refused to turn over despite a subpoena, blah blah blah, gosh, what’s the difference?’

Biden had no more than 10 documents in a locked closet in an office in a think tank. As soon as the documents were located, Biden’s lawyers informed NARA, which quickly took possession of them, and Attorney General Merrick Garland quickly tapped one of the remaining Trump-appointed U.S. attorneys to investigate.. At no point did he drag his feet on an official request to return the documents. By contrast, Trump had well over 100 documents, and it took a warrant and search to recover a large majority of them. Biden has made no complaint about being under investigation. Trump has spent months loudly whining about being persecuted.

The difference is that Biden’s lawyers cooperated & reached out to the National Archives upon discovering the classified documents, unlike Trump & his circle obstructing the investigation into the classified docs at Mar-A-Lago.

Regardless, the right will distort this & use it. However, they will only succeed in highlighting how egregious the misconduct at Mar-a-Lago was, and how Trump would not be in the trouble he’s in had he not obstructed and lied.

This.. was a deliberate setup to show how mislaid sensitive/classified documents “should” be dealt with. Don’t peek.. Inform the authorities.. Correct the situation before going public.

It’s a matter of intent. Overlooked documents that were returned immediately, versus documents, admittedly taken, and not willingly returned. And yes, a VP can work on Classified Documents in an Office. They were not taken HOME.

Now, we will see where the facts lead. But in the Mar-a-Lago case, there was a repeated effort for almost a year-and-a-half to get Donald Trump to turn over those documents. And it was only after multiple attempts to retrieve them and the execution of a search warrant because there were lies that were stated to the administration to recover this.

And now there’s factual evidence that Donald Trump himself was hiding and obstructing the investigation. Very, very different facts, at least from what we know as of now._

Were the documents secured in a locked safe at a facility guarded by the Secret Service? Trump’s were, and Biden said he was reckless and a criminal. Now, there is a report of a second batch of documents. More “spin and explanations” tomorrow. The theater of the absurd never ends.

What’s the difference between finding stuff in your office and turning it in, and taking stuff from your office and hiding it in your house, then lying about it repeatedly until law enforcement has to get a warrant from a judge in order to retrieve it? Apparently it takes the FBI to figure out how a folder could be lost in a filing cabinet until the office was cleared out.

Reporter: “Sir, the documents were found in a closet of your former office at the University”.

Biden: “I was talking about Trump. I’m ignorant to any activity at my office”.
