Governments’ relationships are ALL transactional. Which is kind of what we want… but it means they’re really REALLY not “nice” which means, they only follow the rules if someone’s watching.
If Russia invades the Baltic states, it’s definitely World War III, because it would trigger Article V.
If China invades Taiwan, it’s probably World War III, although I am not as certain as I once was how we would respond. We have given Taiwan an awful lot of the weapons we’re not giving Ukraine, and we’re driving a lot of ships around it that would be hard to avoid hitting by accident. (Which is, to be fair, sort of the point.)
Just to remind the readers here of Mr. Rall, who I imagine fashions himself the King of the False Equivalencers, Joe Biden has engaged in precisely ZERO military adventurism. It was George W. Bush who invaded foreign countries without provocation.

What if Russia attacks the U.S. Oh wait, they already did. And the GQP did nothing about it because of that their guy got elected.

The Baltic States are in NATO, so that’s a whole different situation.

The greatest hypocrisy in history, US foreign policy. The openly predatory viciousness of Trump’s version is almost preferable.

I dont think NATO should expand, it should probably not have expanded under Clinton. . . mainly just a way to sell more arms it seems.

We ain’t always on the right side, but we are this time.
It suits the enemies of liberal democracy to cause us to doubt ourselves.
