LIE no. 1: H.R. 1 does NOT federalize elections. It legislates the protections that the Republican Party of Trump Supreme Court stripped from the Voting Rights ACT.

All the far right ever talks about is “voter ID for proof of residency” and ignore all the other laws created to make it difficult for the poor and infirm to vote. At the last election many urban voters stood in line for 8-10 hours because of the lack of polling places in their urban neighborhoods. New World Kitchen sent food trucks to some neighborhoods so a law was made to make it illegal for anybody (including family members) to give someone standing in line food or water. New World Kitchen passed out food to everyone not asking or caring who they would be voting for. Or drive 45 minutes away to a drop their ballot off at the official site that is only open from 8:00-5:00 — and if they don’t have a car or work from 8:00-5:00 and are old and have a hard time standing in line — too bad, a friend or neighbor with a car can’t drop the ballot off for you when submitting their own.
