If I do the majority of the work like we see here I will still give a 10% tip the workers need that extra bump in pay due to the lousy wages restaurants and stores pay if its a full service place 20% each and every time .
I deal with the counter or drive through person at fast food places there are several people you never have contact with doing all the prep and work. Unless i am sure all will get a share of the tip it seem strange to tip that person. I have never been asked for or told I could add a tip when using my card. This yogurt place must be In California or New York City.
We’ve actually started giving tips at Burger King, because those people actually came to work rather then suck off the federal money. Our restaurants are begging for workers, but until the feds stop giving it away there is no incentive to go to work.
Kind of a mixed reaction to this comic. I am more than happy to leave a tip at a sit down restaurant, especially if I get prompt friendly service. On the other hand when I see a tip jar at a stand-in-line to order place, I cringe. When I was in England I was told not to leave a tip. Maybe they pay their people better?

Not gonna lie, that’s how I feel about tipping at places where you serve yourself

Sometimes all a person needs is a little acknowledgment of their existence.

And some people want the minimum wage to be 15.00 an hr? Really? Half the time these fast food places can’t get you order right!!!

Heh heh. Reminds me of a frozen yogurt place in my town that had a tip jar even though the whole place was self serve….

This seems to have exposed the inner workings of a few human souls and perhaps in the process explained a lot about our world. Well done.

There’s also “custom” and “zero”. For self-serve, it’s always zero.

That ‘person’ behind the counter looks like a combination of Snoopy and Peppermint Patty from Peanuts.

I hate places which ask if I want to add a tip for doing absolutely nothing. You made my pizza and got paid for my purchase. What more do you want?
