Arial has got the sizes reversed. Yeah, they’re both problems, but “a bunch of people coming through the border” isn’t even CLOSE to the issue that the pandemic is.
Reminds me of sports and one guy fowls and the opponent fowls back. As we all know the second guy gets blamed.
Trump creates the problems and now Biden gets blamed for not fixing everything in less than 100 days. Plus several of these problems have been growing over several years. Blame the new guy.
Obama did everything possible for a smooth transition. Trump did everything possible to make the transition as impossible as he could. Trump never admitted he was not reelected, so he obstructed the transfer of power.
The difference between a running start and a standing start.
There is no border ‘crisis’. We have been in a health crisis for over a year, and the condition of the country’s infrastructure is near crisis, and Ariail could care less.
We are working on getting the children back with their families, but considering the total, deliberate, lack of records the prior “administration” left behind, it ain’t gonna be easy – or quick. In fact, I think slower is better; we need to make sure we have the right parents with the right child. Opening the cages and saying “Shoo!” isn’t how it’s done.
The GQP can’t demonize potential immigrants and ignore immigration reform, build walls to keep away ever-decreasing numbers trying to illegally enter the U.S., and totally ignore the most severe pandemic since 1918 (while trying to deny financial assistance to people affected by it) while it effectively held power in the U.S. and then expect these issues to be fixed since Jan. 20. To expect otherwise is, of course, the short-brained GQP mentality.
If the USA had not stuck it’s nose into Latin American countries to overturn supposedly leftist democracies that were elected and supported the military take over then maybe all these people wouldn’t be leaving their country. Why did the USA government support the military dictatorship? To protect the interest of our rich corporations in those countries and because the rich elite did not want those countries to set an example of a government that put people ahead of profits. I’m reminded of a song “When will we ever learn”.
Considering that Covid has killed over 550,000 Americans since this time last year, depicting it as the more trivial concern is ridiculous, and Ariail should know better.
And HOW MUCH money did Agolf Twitler STEAL from the Military and the U.S. Taxpayers for his bogus, Swiss cheese “Wall”? And HOW MUCH of that could have gone to increased research and a faster response to the Covid Pandemic that has been killing people around the world for OVER A YEAR NOW???
Really? More than half a million Americans are dead but you think that a few thousand brown people crossing the border to escape horrible situations is worse. That speaks volumes about your character.
Is this comic trivializing Covid 19? Yes, cases are plateauing… Around 62,840 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the United States on March 14, 2021. Is there anyone who would claim 63,000 is a drip? Around 1200 Covid deaths per day is a drip? https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#trends_dailytrendsdeaths
Former failed one term twice impeached incompetent lazy trump and his nincompoops dismantled every element of the government on which they could get their grody little hands. On purpose. With aforethought. Disgusting “little b*tches from hell.” (Ab Fab)
Rob’s got it backwards. The real crisis is still the pandemic while the border is just a bit more difficult than usual. President Biden’s handling of Covid is having real benefits so long as we hold fast to masking, distancing and washing. But, states need money to exist and so they relax restrictions, and that usually brings the Covid back in ernest. The EU thought they were in control of the virus, but now are having to consider going back to restrictions to get ahead of it, again. We’ve seen this time and time again and yet the governments keep thinking maybe this time will be different. We might be able to reach herd immunity by July, but if the poorer countries are still having a raging infection, then we’ll still be vulnerable.
We have a handle on the Wuhan virus due to President Trump’s policies and absolutely no thanks to Biden’s bumbling. OTOH, Biden’s reversal of Trump’s policies on the border has led to a crisis on the level not seen in the last 20 years and is still growing.
Actually, the crisis has lessened. Many, sadly not all, but many children have been reunited with their parents and kids are sleeping in beds not on the floor in cages. Sure, there is still much to do, but there has been progress with that crisis caused by the Trump administration and those that were profiting from human suffering.
The problem is that, just because we have a new President, that does not mean that the Trumpanistas working in the border Patrol are going to change the way they Abuse people they hate.

Looks like the perspective’s wrong. Covid is a much larger issue than the border crisis.

I get it. Thousands facing a temporary housing shortage is much worse than OVER HALF A MILLION DEAD AMERICANS. Got it.

People have been crossing that border for the last hundred years, but Ariail now deems it a crisis. An exercise in distraction, I’d say.

Well, if he can only put his finger in one, he made the right choice.
And the border isn’t a crisis. It is an issue, but of all the issues that America is facing right now… it isn’t on the top 10 for severity.
