I remember Robert Anton Wilson writing about that in one of the Schrödinger’s Cat trilogy. $bignum for the person who automates themselves out of a job, $lessernum for everyone made redundant by it.
It’s called “early retirement package” if you’re lucky.
Us lower echelon individuals don’t get Golden Parachute buyouts like the big whigs. Ours our made of cement (not even lead)…….
An automated ordering system has already started in our store for dairy and frozen food, everyone calls it robot ordering
It can be adjusted, and I have heard that it needs it
Don’t know how soon, but they say our grocery loads will be robot ordered eventually
The store managers have been doing it, I’m willing to take my chances withe the “robots”
Might work if it’s prorated buy-out, for a 30 yr period. Course that doesn’t help the people that come after you. Oh well, that’s their problem.
