To the very young and many of us much, much older folks, cookies are great fun to make and to think about while cooking. In the in-between years, cookies seem to be mostly fuel, and are listed in the forbidden in the diet or not good for you category. The why the heck not rationale resurfaces when we reach a certain point in life, as in I’m old enough that a cookie or two won’t cause more problems.

And, fortunately for many of us, Christmas is the best cookie baking time of the year. Hope each of you enjoys your cookies and milk this year.

The kids have names??? (other than Caulfield)

When I was in grade school one of my classmates was Jewish. Before things became what they are now.

He brought Hanukkah treats to share with us, he sang Christmas songs with us, we sang Hanukkah songs with him, & the universe didn’t collapse on itself.
