One time I saw a record of someone using the word unfriend as a verb in 1658.

Take care and may God bless.

Use “unfriend” in a mid-17th-century sentence please.

At least they couldn’t accuse George of lying through his teeth.

And the polygraph is about as effective and accurate as Wonder Woman’s golden lasso.

For those wondering why George kept one tooth: 18th century dentures did not fit well, and even a single tooth helped a lot in holding a denture in place. After he lost it in 1796, the new denture, held in place by springs, was even worse. That’s why, in the portrait used on the dollar bill, his lips have a puffed-out look.

Oh, and his false teeth were hippopotamus ivory, not wood.

Without teeth, it’s harder to say that " I was saved by the skin of my teeth"

The only thing new about “unfriending” is how we do it now.

Funny; the lie detector is just as much a fantasy as wonder woman’s rope trick.

And, thus, he admonished people to always tell the tooth.

    Take care and gesundheit.

Any lawyer worth a blank will tell you:

If you’re guilty and the evidence is definitely there, ask for a lie detector test. If it comes back negative, then there’s something to possibly exonerate you (i.e. “What do you have to lose?”)

If you’re innocent, do not take a lie detector test as there’s too much of a chance of a false positive.

I guess the joke about Martha meeting George Washington at a dance and exclaiming: “wood teeth” Doesn’t work?

I don’t get the public’s fascination over Washington’s false teeth. They were common enough in the time for those that could afford them. Though crude they were not wood. They used a variety of animal and human teeth. Used primarily for eating due to their discomfort, they were spring loaded to open, and poor fitting. But nothing unique to Washington.

The lie detector fact is probably the least interesting thing about the creator of Wonder Woman. Look him up.
